Reno County inmate remains only case in county

HUTCHINSON, Kan. —According to the Monday situation report from the Reno County Health Department, there is only one active case of COVID-19 in the county, a Reno County correctional facility inmate tested last week. All people that have come in contact with that person have been tested and come back negative.

As of Monday, 1261 people in the county have been tested, with just 43 positive results and 1218 negatives. The positive test rate is at 3.41%. Taking out the Walmart tests, where there have been no positives thus far, the positive test rate is 3.88%. Officially, 2.01% of the county's population has been tested.

The next update from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment will come on Wednesday.
