COVID-19 positive inmate remains isolated at Reno County Correctional Facility; all interactions test negative

HUTCHINSON, Kan. —  As of 9:30 on the morning of May the 23rd, 2020, the Reno County Correctional Facility has received the results on all deputies and inmates tested on the 21st. All results came back negative.

Currently, there is only one known positive housed at the Reno County Correctional Facility. That inmate has been isolated since Monday the 18th of May 2020 and will continue to be monitored for signs and symptoms. Staff at the facility will continue to use precautions and utilize all Personal Protective Equipment when contact with the inmate is necessary.

As we have been, we will continue to disinfect all common area surfaces, wear PPE, and practice social distancing when practical.
