HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Work is beginning on setting local policy for a time when the state of Kansas Stay Home Order is lifted.
"Yesterday, the Chamber's economic advisory council met," said Chamber CEO Debra Teufel. "We discussed the economic recovery task force. We'll be following up with the commissioners and with Nick and the county manager just to talk about some suggested names."
With that said, these are plans that Nick Baldetti with the Health Department thinks will be on the shelf a little longer.
"On Monday, Secretary Norman began throwing around the date of the 25th as a statewide peak," Baldetti said. "That's for the state of Kansas. Generally, for Reno County, I've been holding on about a week and a half to two week lag, but we continue to monitor, very specifically."
Kansas Governor Laura Kelly is expected to address a potential extension of the statewide order sometime Wednesday.
