HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Medicine Shoppe at 14th and Main in Hutchinson is giving away masks while supplies last, as long as you call ahead.

"HUBCO is supplying the masks at a really low price to us," said Rick Stone with the Medicine Shoppe. "In turn, we're giving them away to our customers and our community to show our appreciation for all they've done for us."

As of Tuesday morning, the pharmacy had given away a lot of masks already.

"We got a hundred masks in yesterday and they went in about two hours," Stone said. "We got 500 masks in. They're making a pretty good dent in those, but so far, we've got some."

The intent is to continue to order masks for as long as the community might need them, but there are limited numbers on a day to day basis.

"We've been dealing with David Patterson over there at HUBCO, he's been great to deal with," Stone said. "We really haven't heard of a top on it, so as long as they can supply them, we're going to keep getting them and we'll keep distributing these to the community. I think they can make as many as we need."

Call ahead to check availability at (620) 663-7681 whether you are a Medicine Shoppe customer or not.
