HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Health Department officials announced Monday they are changing their hours of operation.
Effective immediately, the Health Department will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The closing over the lunch hour will be to decontaminate high-traffic areas.
This will allow the department to utilize more staff in the epidemiology and contact tracing areas of the department instead of direct care to clients.
Remember, the state of Kansas is under a statewide stay home order. This means all citizens are directed to stay in their homes unless performing an essential activity as described in Executive Order No. 20-16 signed by the governor of Kansas.
The department continues to highly encourage Reno County residents to be dependent on health authorities to provide the most accurate information on COVID-19.
