HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A seventh case of COVID-19 was identified Friday night in Reno County.
The Reno County Health Department says the new case is a female in her 70s with no known travel history. She is in home isolation. Case investigation is currently underway. No additional information is available.
The county does not publish or announce identifiable data, though when working through contact training, they may inform those with potential exposure of contact. It is important to the county to follow HIPAA Privacy Laws for every person involved in case investigations.
It is extremely important that Reno County residents adhere to no more than 10 individuals in a gathering with social distancing of 6 feet between individuals and that those restrictions be exercised consistently.
The department continues to highly encourage Reno County residents to be dependent on health authorities to provide the most accurate information on COVID-19.
Please practice good hygiene with frequent hand washing, proper respiratory etiquette such as coughing and sneezing into your elbow bend, limit handshakes and physical contact. Stay home if you are feeling ill and call your primary care physician to discuss your symptoms.
