3rd team qualifies for 2020 National Tourney; No. 1 Florida SouthWestern State upset

In NJCAA Basketball action, No. 1 Florida SouthWestern State was upset in the quarter finals of the South Atlantic District by Gulf Coast 75-68 Wednesday night in Florida.  Florida SouthWestern State (29-2)  will more than likely receive an at-large bid to the National Tournament.

Indian Hills out of Ottumwa, Iowa is the 3rd team to qualify for the National Tournament in Hutchinson.  They picked up a win over Dawson College of Glendive, Montana thursday night by a score of 92-65.  Indian Hills will represent the North Central District.

Indian Hills will be making their 16th trip to the National Championship having won the title 3 times.  In 1997, 1998, 1999 they won the title 2 years in a row.

Unranked Jacksonville, Texas has upset No. 11 ranked Tyler, Texas 89-88 in the Mid-South District of  East Texas and Louisiana.  Tyler now 25-3 will have to wait to see the pairings and at large entries as they are released on Monday.

No. 2 ranked Pearl River, Mississippi is now 27-0 will be in the final with Jones County.  With a win Pearl River would be the only unbeaten team in the National Tournament.
