21-year-old Kan. woman jailed for allegedly stabbing boyfriend

GEARY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a stabbing and have a suspect in custody.

On Sunday evening, police responded to an apartment complex at 110 West 16th Street in Junction City for a subject bleeding, according to a media release. Upon arrival they found John Edward Motton, 25, Junction City, suffering from a stab wound. 

Lifeflight transported Motton to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka for treatment of the wound to his chest.

During their investigation police determined that Motton had been assaulted in Unit Number one of the complex where he lives with his girlfriend, 21-year-old Kyrianna Johnson.

Johnson was transported to the Geary County Detention Center where she was held without bonding pending a first court appearance on a requested charge of  Domestic Aggravated Battery, according to police.
