HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council will meet in executive session this afternoon in their search for a new city manager.
Mayor Jade Piros de Carvalho says they are down to six candidates for the job being vacated by John Deardoff.
Plans are to view videos of the six candidates that were put together by Strategic Government Resources and discuss findings from the citizen committee assembled to help with the search.
Piros de Carvalho says they don’t know if all six will get formal interviews or if just a limited number will be finalists. The council has set aside two days at the end of the month for those interviews.
Today’s meeting begins at 2:30 at the Hutchinson city offices.
