HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The 2020 Reno Roundup: A Rustic Jubilee event for Cancer Council of Reno County is scheduled for February 8 at the Meadowlark Building at the Kansas State Fairgrounds.

"We will have a dinner served by Knackies," said Sandy Woodson, Executive Director. "We will have a silent auction with lots of things in it, a live auction, a raffle with a golden ticket draw, all those things that we've had in the past. The big news is we're revising the whole look of it. We're hoping that people will come and walk through the door and say, wow, I can't believe what you've done this year to decorate."

The Cancer Council of Reno County has been able to expand its reach thanks to the generosity of its donors.

"Over 21 years, we started with probably 25 patients," Woodson said. "We gave them about $500 to $600 a year and we usually ran out. We are now averaging about 250 patients across Reno County that we help with needs when they are faced with cancer."

If you've recently been diagnosed, there are many ways to get in touch.

"They can call at (620) 665-5555 or they can go to the website at cancercouncilrenocounty.org," Woodson said. "Many of the doctors and nurses have our contact information."
