$23.5 million. That's the payday Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson reportedly received for coming back in the fourth Jumanji movie:  "The Next Level."   It's opening this weekend at Hutchinson's B&B Theatres. Also back is Jack Black and Kevin Hart along with newcomers (to "Jumanji") Danny DeVito and Danny Glover.

"The Next Level" is billed as an adventure comedy with Spencer (Johnson) going back to the fantasy island where he faces more obstacles and dangers.

Also opening this weekend, but apparently not in Hutchinson, is Clint Eastwood's tribute to "Richard Jewell", the Atlanta bombing suspect whose life was ruined by bad law enforcement information that Eastwood has longed to right by bringing his story to the screen. Also newly out is "Black Christmas," which tells the story of sorority girls killed by a stalker during their college Christmas break. Margon Kidder returns to the big screen after a long absence.

The big movie two previous weekends, "Frozen II," has now topped $340 million in domestic box office sales and $900 million worldwide, "Frozen" will soon become Disney's sixth billion dollar movie this year alone and the seventh highest grossing film of 2019. "Knives Out," an excellent who-dun-it mystery and "Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood," the Mr. Rogers film, round out movie options locally this weekend.
