EL DORADO, Kan.- The Hutchinson Blue Dragons split a pair of basketball games on Saturday night to the Butler Grizzlies. The Hutchinson women got a grind it out win 73-55 in the first game after doubling up on Butler in the 3rd quarter 22-11.
The Blue Dragon men were not so lucky. Hutchinson led by 6 at the half 36-30, but the Grizzlies kept nipping at the Dragons and finally manufactured a run midway through the 2nd half to come out on top 73-63. It was the first loss for the No. 2 ranked Blue Dragons on the year.Hutchinson finishes the 1st semester schedule as Cloud County comes to the Sports Arena on Wednesday for a double header. Women's game at 5:30 and the men's game tips off at 7:30. A full recap of both games will follow later.
