HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas State Fair is now just a few months away and is still a go.
The fair announced it is taking some steps to try to keep the public safe during the pandemic age we live in.
Such precautions include oneway routes through buildings, more hand sanitizing stations and practicing proper hygiene etiquette. The fair is also encouraging patrons to purchase tickets online or at Dillons stores.
The fair recently took steps to make it easier for commercial vendors to participate in the fair by extending deadlines for deposits and for making a commitment to display at this year’s event.
General Manager Robin Jennison says he is confident the fair will go on as scheduled and that the fair is making changes with the health and safety of the fairgoers in mind.
The 107th Kansas State Fair kicks off Sept. 11.
