KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats captured the 2021 MIAA Regular Season Men's Basketball title and will be the No. 1 overall seed in the Basketball Championship Tournament, presented by Citizens Bank & Trust next week. The Bearcats finished the season with a 21-1 overall record and captured the program's eighth-consecutive regular season title.
The quarterfinal round will begin on Wednesday, March 3, at the four highest seeded sites. Northwest Missouri will host No. 8 Emporia State. No. 2 seed Washburn plays host to No. 7 seed Rogers State. The Griffons from Missouri Western are the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 Lincoln. No. 4 Missouri Southern will host No. 5 Central Oklahoma.
The semifinal and championship rounds will be played at the highest remaining seed following the quarterfinal round. There will be two semifinal contests on Friday, March 5, with the championship game set for Saturday, March 6. Game times will be set at a later date.
Fans can watch the entire tournament which will be broadcasted exclusively on the MIAA Digital Network. For those individuals that purchased a season-long pass, your subscription will include the entire 14-game MIAA Men's & Women's Tournaments as well. Fans can purchase an All-Tournament Pass for $25, which includes all 14 men's and women's contests on March 3, 5, 6 & 7. Day passes are also available for $10 and must be purchased on the day of the games.
