HUTCHINSON, KS — Kilgore College won over South Plains College 56-48 Wednesday at the NJCAA Men's Basketball National Tournament at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
Mason Taylor led the Rangers with 12 points, while Da'Sean Nelson and DaVeon Thomas each finished with 10 points. Kilgore shot 36.8 percent from the floor and 35.3 percent from three point range Wednesday.
South Plains shot just 27.3 percent from the field.
Kieves Turner led South Plains with 11 points, Savion Gallion provided 10 points in the loss.
Kilgore advances to play Triton in the 8 p.m. game Thursday in Hutchinson.
