HUTCHINSON, Kan. — PrairieStar received their first 100 doses of the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine for Phase 2 patients late last week. This is the 65+ age group that is to be vaccinated according to guidelines. All available doses were given to patients on Monday January 25th at PrairieStar.
It is important that patients work through their Primary Care Provider when possible. The Primary Care Provider has the patient’s medical history and will ensure appropriate documentation and coordination of both doses of the vaccine. Vaccine supplies are extremely limited and PrairieStar is not in control of when and how many vaccines they will receive.
As PrairieStar recieves more doses they will call patients to set up a vaccination appointment. Do not call PrairieStar as their call center does not know when or how much vaccine will be available.
PrairieStar will call patients once they receive more vaccine.
