HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson (3-0) got 48 bench points as six players scored 11 or more in Saturday night's matchup with NOC-Tonkawa (2-2).
Aaron Franklin led the bench scoring with 18 on 7 of 10 shooting, including 4 of 7 from distance. He added nine rebounds.
Angelo Stuart (13), Kaimen Lennox (12), Nate Goodlow (11), Cecil Lee (11) and Kobe Campbell (11) scored in double digits as well. Goodlow added five assists.
Hutchinson outrebounded NOC-Tonkawa 53-48.
The Mavericks turned the ball over 23 times. Hutchinson got 27 points off those turnovers.
The Dragon bench outscored the Maverick bench 48-30.
The Mavericks led for 1:47 and by no more than three points. The Dragons led for nearly 36 minutes in a game where the lead changed only three times.
The Mavericks had five players in double digits, led by Jalen Johnson's 18. Kodee Holloway had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
