COLBY, Kan. – Stepping up in key games leading to wins for both Hutchinson Community College and Garden City Community College, Blue Dragon forward Katharina Marx and Lady Broncbuster Leydaly Enriquez have each earned their first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week awards of the season.

Katharina Marx (Hutchinson) – Blue Dragon sophomore forward Katharina Marx had a game-winning goal and three overall points as number 16 Hutchinson ran its unbeaten streak to seven games (5-0-2) with a 2-0 win over Barton and a 1-1 road draw with number seven-ranked Kansas City Kansas. Marx had a goal and an assist in pacing the Blue Dragons in a home win over the Cougars.

Leydaly Enriquez (Garden City) – Enriquez had two shutouts this week, including one against number eight-ranked Butler in a match in which she recorded 14 saves. The sophomore added one additional save in a scoreless draw against Coffeyville to finish the week as the only goalkeeper in the KJCCC to record two shutouts in net last week.
