Former NFL player to visit Hutch High Monday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Former NFL player and Rose Bowl Champion, Keith Davis will visit Hutchinson High School on Monday, August 23, 2021 to present to students, staff and the Board of Education about the importance of education.

Davis was originally scheduled to present at last year’s District Convocation, but his appearance was canceled due to COVID. Davis will now present to staff and students in person for his rescheduled visit.

Keith Davis is a former college and professional football player who has appeared on ESPN, ABC, USA Today, and in Sports Illustrated. He is an entrepreneur and a motivational speaker who has presented to more than 9,000 schools and corporations, and in over 62 countries. He is currently the founder of The Winners Organization, an international company that encourages, inspires and assists students, educators and parents.

Davis will be meeting with the Hutchinson High School football team and athletic staff at 9:00 a.m. on August 23, and will speak with the athletes about the importance of education and the personal impact education had on his life. He then will present to staff members at a special professional development opportunity at 4:00 p.m. that same day. To conclude his visit, Davis will present to the USD 308 Board of Education at their regularly scheduled meeting at 6:00 p.m. The evening presentation will be livestreamed on district social media so that the full Hutchinson community can take part.
