
MAIZE, Kan. — The Hutch High baseball team will play for a regional title this evening, following a 3-2 win over Hays High on Tuesday afternoon at Maize South.
The Salthawks scored two in the fifth to take a 2-1 lead.
Hays scored one in the top of the sixth to tie the game.
The Salthawks took advantage of two Indian errors in the sixth to plate the go-ahead and decisive run.
Hutchinson will face either Maize South or Salina Central in the regional championship game around 6:30 p.m.
