🏊‍♂️ Buhler wins home invite, Hutch finishes 4th

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Buhler Crusaders boys swim team won it's home invitational on Tuesday at the Hutchinson YMCA with a total of 456 points.

The Crusaders trailed Maize South going into the final event, the 400 freestyle relay, 432-431, but the first place team of DeWeese, Neighbor, Frees and Gardner put up a season-best time of 3:39.83 to win the event and secure the team title.

Hudson DeWeese finished first in the 200 free with a new school record time of 1:55.87. DeWeese also won the 500 free with a time of 5:30.81.

Jonah Gardner finished first in the 100 free with a time of 53.71.

The Crusaders had 16 top 5 finishers and had 30 season-best times in events throughout the evening. 

Hutchinson had eight top 5 finishers in the meet, led by a second place finish for Logan Most in the 500 free. The relay team of Hayes, McClelland, Most and Franz finished second in the 200 and 400 free relay races.
