Moberly Area advances in overtime at NJCAA

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The first game of the day in Hutchinson Monday between Moberly Area and Pearl River was not decided until overtime as a last-second three quarter court shot by Tyren Moore for the Greyhounds sent the game to an extra session tied at 77 and Moberly then took control late in the overtime to win 95-89.

The Greyhounds were led by Moore's 25 points, Sincere Parker had 21, Darton Staples had 13 and Michael Thomas added 11.

For the Wildcats, they were paced by Ankerton Gross with 23 points, Carlous Williams had 18, Jartyon Wilkens had 12 and Jaronn Wilkens added 10.

The Wildcats end their season at 24-4. Moberly Area improves to 28-6 and will play top seed Salt Lake Tuesday at 2 p.m.
