Chipola shuts down Harcum for quarterfinal win

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The same Harcum offense that had hit triple digits in its first two games of the NJCAA Tournament couldn't hit 50 Thursday as Chipola won 70-49 at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.

The closest the game was after halftime was a 46-38 Chipola lead before they stretched it out for the quarterfinal win.

Faizon Fields had 17 points for Chipola, Achor Achor had 13, Nae'qwan Tomlin added 11 points for the Indians.

For Harcum, they were paced by Jordan Martin's 12 points.

Chipola, now 30-5, will face Salt Lake in the 5 p.m. semifinal Friday in Hutchinson. Harcum ends its season at 32-3.
