HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A familiar face won the 2020 City Match Play Tournament Sunday. Nick Hague won 2 and 1 over Ty Adkins after beating Terry McDowell 5 and 3 in the semifinals. Adkins won his semifinal over Hogan Smith 2 and 1.

Hague was in an unusual position early on. When he made a bogey on number 6, he found himself 2 down, maybe for the first time ever! Unfortunately for Adkins that would be Hague's last bogey. After Nick made 4 birdies in the next 6 holes he had went from 2 down to 2 up and didn't look back.

This is Hague's fourth straight Match Play Championship.

Flight winners were Nickerson AD and girls basketball coach Jon McLean in 1st Flight, Kevin Rogg in 2nd Flight and Lance Small in 3rd Flight.
