Dillon Archer is the new Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragon Athletics Coordinator of Ticketing.
Archer, a native of Newton, started his duties on Monday.
He takes over all facets for the Blue Dragon Ticketing operations as well as other duties including game operations and site administration.
"Blue Dragon Athletics is excited to welcome Dillon Archer to this vital role," Athletic Director Josh Gooch said. "He comes highly recommended and his vast background makes him a valuable asset to complete our administrative team."
One of the first things Archer will develop is a ticketing plan for the Blue Dragon 2021 spring season. With the Coronavirus pandemic, and the Blue Dragons' entire athletic season, with the exception of cross country, will be played from late January to possibly early June. That means new seat plans, which involve social distancing, will have to be created. Those plans will be released to the public later this fall.
Archer comes to the Blue Dragon Athletic Department after serving for the past 14 months as the Athletic Academic Advisor and Support Specialist at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri. Many of his duties at MSSU centered on academic performance for student athletes.
From August 2017 to May of 2019, Archer was at Lindenwood University where he was primarily an NCAA Student Success assistant. He also served as a radio DJ and worked as a Lindenwood Public Relations intern.
After graduating from Newton High School in 2013, Archer attended Neosho County Community College in Chanute as a wrestler. Archer was a two-time NJCAA All-American as well as a two-time All-NJCAA Academic recipient.
Archer moved onto Lindenwood to continue his wrestling and academic endeavors. He was a two-time MIAA medalist and Academic All-American and was named team captain.
Archer earned his Associate of Science degree from Neosho County in 2015 and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Lindenwood in 2017. Archer completed his master's degree in Sport Management, as a Dean's List student, from Lindenwood in 2019.
