
CONCORDIA, Kan. — Kiki Smith dropped 26 points, two shy of her career high, as No. 11 Hutchinson (11-0, 5-0) handled Cloud County (6-5, 2-4) 77-50 on the road.
The Dragons took a 23-9 advantage after 10 minutes of play.
Hutchinson outscored Cloud County 24-5 in fast-break points.
Hailey Jackson added 11 points and eight rebounds.
Journey Armstead just missed double-digit scoring with nine points. She added six assists.
The Dragon defense held Maimouna Sissoko to eight points on 3-of-15 shooting. Sissoko managed 11 boards but came into the contest fresh off a 27-point 18-rebound performance at Dodge City.
The Dragons held the Thunderbirds to 36.8% shooting.
Hutchinson shot 47% from the floor.
