WICHITA, Kan. — The Buhler High School Crusaders bowling teams swept the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division III and IV team titles on Thursday at Bowlero.
The Crusader girls bowled a 2986 series, over 500 pins more than second place Circle (2424). Buhler was led by senior Teigan Nielsen who bowled a 792 series, including a perfect 300 game.
Nielsen won the girls individual title by nearly 200 pins. Teammate Kenzie Welch finished in third place with a 547 series, while Sloane Adkins also placed in the top 10 with a 452 series, good enough for ninth place.
The Crusader boys edged out Andale by 64 pins to claim the title, 3197-3133.
Buhler junior Malachi Willis won the individual title with a 666 series, 17 more than Alex Wheat of McPherson. Rylan Klug (626, 6th) and Kohen Herrington (599, 7th) each finished in the top 10, as well for the Crusaders.
The Crusaders will now prepare for 4-1A regionals, which will be held Tuesday, Feb. 20 at The Alley in Hutchinson.
