End of August sees non-cluster cases below 50

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — As of the last report on the Reno County COVID-19 dashboard for the month of August Monday afternoon, there were 165 active cases of the virus in the county.

742 people have tested positive since the beginning, 576 have recovered, one has died.

Of the 165 active cases, 115 are connected to Hutchinson Correctional Facility. Two are still active at Hutch CC. That leaves 48 non cluster related cases in the county.

The dashboard notes three hospitalizations and that 37 cases overall spent time in the hospital. 20 were admitted to ICU at one point, with 4 intubated.

6,799 total tests have been administered, with 6,057 negative. The overall positive test rate is at 10.91%, with the community positive test rate at 7.10%. 10.82% of the population has been tested.
