HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Salvation Army in Hutchinson is still taking applications for Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance.

"We are doing in-person applications on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to noon," said Major Paul James with the Salvation Army. "The United Way is going to be doing a holiday hub at the library on November 19. I think it's from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and so we'll be doing in-person applications then, and that's for the folks that have a hard time with technology."

Project Concern with KWBW radio kicks off Monday and runs through the Monday before Thanksgiving. 2024 is the 31st year of Project Concern. KWBW has raised nearly a half-million dollars over the years for Thanksgiving meals.

If you want to give, listeners can simply come to the EAGLE Media studios during the week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Your generous donations can be made in the form of cash or check, credit cards cannot be accepted.

Also, a portion of the money goes to Friendship Meals and the Christian Soup Ministry.
