HUTCHINSON, Kan.  — No. 21 seed Wallace State upset the No. 12 seed Lee College Navigators 76-64. The Wallace State Lions are the first team to upset a higher seed at the 2024 NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship. 

Freshman guard Jimmie Williams led Wallace with 22 points. Sophomore center Randiez Eason recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. 

Freshman guard De'Vion Lavergne led Lee with 17 points. 

Lee led Wallace 40-38 at halftime but Wallace built momentum in the second and solidified a 12 point lead (70-58) with 3:44 left to go in the game. 

Wallace and Lee both shot 50% from the field. 

Wallace State will play No. 5 Indian Hills on Tuesday, March 26 at 2:15 p.m.
