🏀 WBB: Smith wins second conference weekly award

Hutchinson Community College freshman guard Kiki Smith earned her second Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week award of the season on Tuesday. 

Smith notched her third 20-point game of the season and led the No. 11 Blue Dragons to a pair of victories over Cloud County at Cowley to end the first semester.  

The freshman guard from Topeka averaged 21.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.5 blocked shots last week. She shot 51.4 percent from the floor. Smith scored 26 points in a 27-point road win at Cloud County.  

She was two rebounds shy of her first double-double with 17 points and eight rebounds against Cowley at the Sports Arena.  

Averaging 18.3 points per game this season, Smith is fourth in scoring in the KJCCC. 

Smith also won the league award on November 14.
