HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson's new-look offense under first-year head coach Tommy DeSalme featured threes, triple digits and turnovers.
Hutchinson held just a seven point advantage at the break after putting up 58 points.
The Dragons (1-0) made 14 three-pointers and gave up nine to Fort Scott (0-2).
Hutchinson shot 38.9% from distance and had 31 turnovers. Fort Scott gave the ball up 34 times.
Six players finished in double digits for Hutchinson. Angelo Stuart led the way with 24. Nate Goodlow (19), Kaimen Lennox (16), Aaron Franklin (15), Cecil Lee (14) and Jacquez Yow (12) all finished in double-digit scoring.
Peter Simon, a 5-8 guard for the Greyhounds, scored 26 on 5 of 7 shooting from beyond the arc.
Hutchinson outrebounded Fort Scott 47-38.

The Dragons are back in the Sports Arena Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 in the BSN Sports Tipoff Classic. Hutchinson will face Odessa Friday and NOC-Tonkawa Saturday.

Hutchinson put up 81 shots (54.3% shooting) while Fort Scott launched 75 (46.7%).
