SAN ANTONIO, Texas—The Wichita Wind Surge fell 3-1 on Sunday's series finale against the San Antonio Missions.

A solo home run off Nick Wittgren gave San Antonio the first run of the day with two outs in the bottom of the first inning.

Ben Ross came through for his first hit of the series on a run-scoring double to the gap in right center in the top of the fifth that scored Jake Rucker and tied the game at one.

The Missions regained and improved their lead to 3-1 after a pair of RBI singles in the sixth and seventh innings against Aaron Rozek and John Stankiewicz. After Jeferson Morales reached on a walk to begin the top of the ninth to bring the tying run to the plate, the following three Wichita hitters struck out to end the game.

The Wind Surge split the series with the Missions in the Lone Star State. Rozek received his first loss of the year after surrendering an earned run on four hits and two walks in three and two-thirds innings of relief.

Wichita begins the second week of a 12-game road stretch on Tuesday, April 30, against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, Arkansas. The first pitch will be at 7:05 PM.
