NEWTON, Kan. (Hutch Post) — The Harvey County Commission will hold their weekly meeting on Tuesday morning.
On the agenda is the authorization to purchase four new Sheriff’s Office Patrol Vehicles. The office has the approval to purchase four new patrol vehicles.
The sheriff’s office routinely replaces vehicles every year utilizing an Equipment Replacement Plan Fund that is funded through their annual budget which the county commission approves. The approved 2025 budget included the replacement of the vehicles.
The recommended budget includes $228,000 for the purchase of four patrol vehicles. The agenda packet shows that the vehicles will be Dodge Durango vehicles.
The request from the sheriff’s office is for $200,100.12 for the purchase of the vehicles from Superior Emergency Response Vehicles.
The Board of County Commissioners meeting begins at 9 am in the Community Room in the Harvey County Courthouse.
