KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — After the Chargers lost a heartbreaker to the Cowboys last weekend, and the Chiefs fumbled away a win in Baltimore on Sunday night, the longtime rivals find themselves in the most unexpected of circumstances.
The loser of their showdown on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium will be in the AFC West cellar three weeks into the season. There's plenty of time to turn things around, though, especially in the expanded 17-game regular season.
But it would help if that turnaround began this weekend, when the Chargers and Chiefs will be trying to keep pace with unbeaten Denver and Las Vegas.
