
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Shelton State Buccaneers took care of business in the second game on Monday's docket at the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
The Buccaneers won over a Roane State squad that had won its first conference championship in 50 years just to get to the Sports Arena. The final was 91-74.
Shelton State was led by 17 points from Antonio Thomas, 15 points from Thaddeus Williams, 13 from Willie Johnson, 13 from Amorey Womack, and 12 from Andres Burney.
Roane State was led by 14 from Floyd Williams, 13 from Nate Spivey, 13 from Kavon Blankenship and 12 from Jawaun Moore.
Shelton State, now 28-6, will play eight seed Odessa Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Roane State finishes at 18-10.
