
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — It had been 42-years since Dodge City sent a team to the NJCAA National Basketball Tournament. The Conquistadors made the most of it in the first round of the NJCAA National Basketball Tournament as the Region-6 champions scored an impressive 82-65 over Snow College Tuesday night.
The Conqs got off to a slow start but gained the upper hand in the second half and once they took the lead were able to control the tempo. Dodge moves on to play at 2 p.m. on Thursday. The Conqs were led by Themus Fulks with 24 points and Kerwin Prince with 11.
After a slow start Dodge shot 53% from the field and outrebounded Snow 38-29. The Badgers were led by Wyate Lowell with 19 points, Drake Allen who scored 20 points in Snow's win on Monday managed just 11. Snow ends the season at 26-9.
