SEDGWICK COUNTY—Authorities in Sedgwick County are investigating after a man's body was found in a pond in Wichita.
Just after 9a.m. Thursday, EMS, fire crews and police were dispatched to a report of a body in the pond at Stoney Point and Taft in Wichita, according to Wichita Police Department spokesman Andrew Ford.
First responders pulled the man the pond and he was pronounced deceased on scene. The identity of the victim is not known at this time and will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office.
Police released no additional details Thursday afternoon.
